How Lighthouse Ecoheat works:
To ensure your plants grow vigorously, you will need to maintain a constant room temperature. Plants thrive at temperatures of around 25-28 degrees Celsius during the ‘lights on’ period and 18 degrees Celsius in the dark.As winter approaches, maintaining these temperatures can become difficult without some form of supplementary heating, especially during the hours when the lighting is off. For this reason, we recommend the use of a heater whenever temperatures fall below optimum levels.
This heater is incredibly economical, running at only 135 watts and radiating enough heat to warm a medium to large space by a few degrees (depending on the outdoor environment).Since it works more like a radiator than a heater, the end result is a constant warming of the surrounding air, without a single point of excessive heat that could damage plants. It is also splash-proof, forming a sealed unit, which unlike cheaper and far inferior alternatives, can also pose a safety risk.
For complete control, the heater can be connected to a thermostat, so that whenever the temperature drops below 18 degrees, it will go into action. This way, constant temperatures can be maintained with very little hassle.
How to use the Lighthouse Ecoheat:
The Lighthouse Ecoheat is very simple to programme. All that is required is that the unit is connected and used in an area away from liquids, ensuring that the edges of the heater do not come into contact with external materials, such as curtain fabric, plastic or plant matter.
One strategy for getting the most out of your heater during the colder months is to schedule it to turn on when the lights go out, at the beginning of the dark cycle. As the heat from the lighting equipment dissipates, Lighthouse Ecoheat will provide enough heat to keep temperatures in the correct range during the dark hours. This, of course, will depend on the surrounding environment.
