‘Eletta Campana’ is a historical Italian variety, cultivated for centuries throughout Italy but especially in Campania.
It is a genetic strain developed to produce fibre but is now chosen for the production of inflorescences and biomass for extraction (CBD). It also produces satisfactory quantities of seed.
This variety is characterised by late female flowering anthesis, which makes it suitable for the cultivation area of southern regions. Another morphological character that unequivocally distinguishes the variety from similar varieties is the size of the leaves, which are among the largest.
