Implosion-proof dryers; they withstand a vacuum of -740 mm Hg with a loss (absolute zero: -760 mm/Hg) of no more than 20 mm Hg in 24 hours. The transparent upper cap is moulded in polycarbonate and is coupled to the PP lower section, ensuring the seal by means of a neoprene rubber ring inserted in a special groove. The lid is fitted with a polycarbonate sealing valve with a PE pin which, with a slight rotation, allows air to enter without turbulence. A thin film of grease spread on the sealing ring helps to create the initial vacuum.
The dryers are equipped with an inner basket that serves as a container for calcium chloride or other drying agent.
Methacrylate dryer usage notes:
- Remove the PC cap;
- Insert samples;
- Open the sealing valve (needle valve);
- Attach the vacuum pump hose to the dryer tap;
- Close the seal valve;
