Implosion-proof dryers; withstand a vacuum of -740 mm of Hg (absolute zero: -760 mm / Hg) with a loss of no more than 20 mm of Hg in 24 hours. The transparent upper shell is molded in polycarbonate and is coupled to the lower section, ensuring the seal by means of a neoprene rubber ring inserted in a special groove. The lid is equipped with a polycarbonate sealing valve with a PE pin which, with a slight rotation, allows air to enter without turbulence. A thin film of grease spread on the sealing ring helps to create the initial vacuum.
The dryers have an internal basket that serves as a container for calcium chloride or other drying agent.
Laboratory methacrylate dryer usage notes:
- Remove the cover;
- Insert the samples;
- Open the sealing valve (needle valve);
- Attach the pump hose to the drier tap to pull the vacuum;
- Close the seal valve;
