Citric acid is a weak acid contained in plant organisms: lemon juice, for example, contains 5 to 7% of it, but it is also found in other fruits, many other foods, mushrooms, wood, milk. It is extracted and crystallised and has many applications in ecological cleaning. It can be used for all washable surfaces, as an all-purpose cleaner, in the washing machine as a descaling and softening agent, in the dishwasher instead of rinse aid (which should never be used, because it remains as a dish residue and you eat it up with the next meal), and in the kitchen as a citric acid.
Citric acid is NOT used pure, but should be dissolved in water, possibly distilled. It can replace in an environmentally friendly way some traditional products, which often contain substances that pollute the environment and are even dangerous to humans.

Zitronensäure ist eine schwache Säure, die in pflanzlichen Organismenenthalten ist : Zitronensaft zum Beispiel enthält 5 bis 7 % davon, aber sie kommt auch in anderen Früchten, vielen anderen Lebensmitteln, Pilzen, Holz und Milch vor. Sie wird extrahiert und kristallisiert und findet zahlreiche Anwendungen in der ökologischen Reinigung. Sie kann für alle abwaschbaren Oberflächen verwendet werden, als Allzweckreiniger, in der Waschmaschine als Entkalker und Weichspüler, in der Geschirrspülmaschine anstelle von Klarspüler (der nie verwendet werden sollte, da er als Geschirrrückstand zurückbleibt und man ihn mit der nächsten Mahlzeit auffrisst) und in der Küche als Zitronensäure.
Zitronensäure wird NICHT pur verwendet, sondern sollte in Wasser aufgelöst werden, eventuell destilliert. Sie kann auf umweltfreundliche Weise einige herkömmliche Produkte ersetzen, die oft Stoffe enthalten, die die Umwelt belasten und sogar für den Menschen gefährlich sind.
