Description

Ice-water extraction, also known as the ice-o-lator technique, is the process of removing trichomes from cannabis buds using ice and water. The frozen material is processed through an extractor or washer with ice and water. By agitating the plant matter in the cold water, the trichomes (also known as resin) separate and fall to the bottom. This method of extraction is considered among the purest, as it does not use solvents or high temperatures.
